Cressy Commercial Real Estate Acquires Minority Stake in Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business
January 30, 2024
Mishawaka, IN. – Cressy Commercial Real Estate is pleased to announce its acquisition of a minority stake in KMC Solutions, LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that provides cemetery, construction, development, and facilities maintenance services to the federal government. The federal government aims to award at least three percent of all federal contracting dollars to SDVOSBs each year, allowing KMC the competitive advantage to compete for the program’s set-aside and sole source contracts.
Cressy Commercial Real Estate and its majority stakeholder, Mno-Bmadsen, will provide mentorship and resources to KMC as they seek to expand their expertise and services while better positioning them to serve their federal government clients. The partnership affords KMC the ability to provide a host of vertically integrated services, inclusive of real estate brokerage, property management, architecture and engineering, civil engineering, HVAC, and plumbing.
“Venturing into the government contracting space marks a pivotal moment in our company’s growth trajectory,” said Chris Fielding, CEO of Cressy Commercial Real Estate. “This strategic move not only expands our national footprint through small business set-aside contracts, but also allows us the opportunity to increase our service offerings and subsequently cater to a wider array of clients and their needs.
Owned by U.S. Army Veteran, Kevin Knight, KMC Solutions is an award-winning general contracting firm with over 50 years of combined experience in cemetery renovation and construction for a variety of federal clientele, including the Department of Veteran Affairs. “KMC’s mission has always been to impact the lives of Veterans and their families. Partnering with the Cressy and Mno team has provided us with the infrastructure that allows KMC to continue pursuit of just that,” said Knight. Its strategic partnership with Cressy Commercial Real Estate and Mno-Bmadsen has created a team that share the same core values of local stewardship, inclusion, trust, integrity, and excellence in service, allowing them to transform the local communities in which they work.
